The ninth Guanghua Engineering Science and technology award was announced in Beijing in June 13th. The leading comrades of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and State Councilor Liu Yandong presented the prizes to the winners. The academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, the senior advisor of the national Power Grid Corp, and Pan Jiazheng, an expert on electric power of China, won the achievement award of this award for China's China Guanghua Engineering Science and technology award, and 25 other experts have won the project award and the Youth Award for this award.
Pan Jiazheng, born in 1927, is a famous hydraulic structure and hydropower construction expert in China. He has made important contributions to the development of China's electric power and energy industry. He was the chief engineer of the Ministry of water and electric power and the chief engineer of the power department of the Ministry of energy. He was the senior consultant of the state Power Grid Corp, the consultant of the Three Gorges project quality inspection expert group of the Three Gorges Construction Commission of the State Council and the consultant of the Committee of the Department of the State Council on the south to North Water Transfer Office, and published more than 700 million words.
In the morning, Pan Jia Zheng, who was hospitalized due to illness, was unable to attend the award ceremony. In the afternoon, Liu Yandong made a special trip to the hospital to see Pan Jiazheng and awarded him the certificate of achievement award and bonus. Since 1996, the first prize has been held for the ninth time, and a total of 174 people have won the award.
The prize for engineering science and technology of Guanghua includes 3 awards of achievement award, Engineering Award and Youth Award, once every two years, and the winners receive 1 million, 150 thousand and 100 thousand yuan respectively. Tang Guangfu, an electrical engineering expert of the national grid Smart Grid Research Institute, won the award of the Guanghua Engineering Science and technology award.
